Who we are

Cards For Cubs is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization whose mission is to give hope to kids and young adults in foster care while bringing awareness to the foster care system. We work with foster care agencies across the United States to help distribute cards to kids that may feel forgotten by the world.

How you can volunteer

  • Every year, Cards For Cubs teams up with UTA for The Big Event, the university's annual day of service. UTA students come together to sort, pack, and ship the hundreds of thousands of handmade cards donated during our Card Drive.
  • When: one day each spring, after the March Card Drive closes. The date and sign-up are announced through UTA's The Big Event each year.
  • There will be stations set up for you to get started sorting, packing, or shipping.
  • Dress for comfort, low level of physical effort needed.
